Bracknell Choral Society

Bracknell, Berkshire ~ Music
We aim to provide our local community with the opportunity to make and listen to good music.

About us:

Bracknell Choral Society was formed in 1960, with a membership of 14. We are currently approaching 90 members and we are looking to expand to well beyond 100.
Our aim is to give concerts to a high standard and to perform a wide variety of classical, sacred and secular choral music. We perform three major concerts a year in the Bracknell area, using professional soloists and orchestral players. Our repertoire spans more than 350 years, and includes rarely-heard works, as well as more familiar ones.
Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings during school term-time, in Ranelagh School, Ranelagh Drive, Bracknell, RG12 9DA from September to June. They are led by our conductor, Barnaby Smith, with piano accompaniment provided by Nick Austin, our expert pianist. Both are professional musicians.
Singing starts promptly at 7:30 p.m., with a short break for refreshments at 8:30 p.m. Our busy but enjoyable and stretching rehearsals finish at 9:30 p.m.
New members are always welcome to join us and are invited to attend two rehearsals before committing themselves.
