Bracknell, Berkshire ~ Elderly
Lifeline Alarm and keyholder services

About us:

Forestcare is Bracknell Council’s emergency control centre. We rent Lifeline alarms and related sensors to over 2,000 individuals in Bracknell and the surrounding areas. This equipment means that people are able to remain in their own homes and can feel safe knowing that help is available if they need it. The alarm is connected to your phone line and a nearby electrical socket.

A Lifeline alarm can help you if you are unwell, prone to falls or simply because you live on your own. You can simply push the button on the pendant (that you wear around your home and in the garden) and get help immediately if you fall, feel unwell or in some other emergency.

There are a range of sensors which work with the Lifeline alarm and will alert the Control Centre in the event of a fire, flood, gas leak, intruder or other emergency. When you push the button you are connected to our 24 hour local Control centre and we can contact your next of kin, a neighbour or the emergency services as required.

If you live in the Bracknell area we can also provide a mobile response and key holder service. We will install a key safe to help if you are not very mobile – as you can give trusted friends/ family or a carer access without needing to get to the door. In an emergency the Police, Ambulance or Fire Service will be able to get in quickly without damaging the door.

If you would like a free no obligation demonstration or to find out more about our products, services and prices, please contact us. Forestcare is accredited by the Telecare Services Association.

About us:

If you are over sixty and feeling alone you may be interested in TheLink.

This is a befriending service where volunteers visit once a week or fortnight for an hour or so to have a chat and a cup of tea!

This scheme started many years ago from Woodley Baptist Church and we now seek out volunteers to befriend older people from churches right across Wokingham Borough.

Friendship can play a large part in staying independant and healthy at home.

Benefits to the befriender may be the satisfaction of helping someone and a sense of achievement! Do get in touch if you’d like to find out more!

Hurst, Berkshire ~ Elderly
A family home providing an alternative in residential care for the elderly

About us:

We provide something quite unique and special. Unlike care or nursing homes we cater for a maximum of 3 clients providing short and long term care in our own family home. Our aim is to provide care in less formal surroundings with the emphasis on the individual.
If you are unable to manage day to day activities or your family would prefer that your were not left alone, we can help.
You can stay for a few hours to a weekend or more, we are very flexible.
There is a great family atmosphere here, so much more less intimidating than a large residential home.
I personally have experience in looking after the elderly for more than 15 years with conditions such as Dementia, MS Parkinson’s and age related illnesses. Please feel free to contact me.
