About us:

Are you looking to learn a bit more about the game? Do you want to stop annoying friends and family with arguments over whether AARRGHH is actually a word? Do you yearn to play ZYZZYVAS across two triple-word squares?

East Berks Scrabble Club is always open to new members, and we’d love to have you along to try out one of our game nights. We have a few games of Scrabble, and coffee and biscuits and a chat. For the competitively-minded among you, we run league and knockout competitions within the club at different times of year, and we also have members who represent the club in teams in a local league or who go along to play individually at tournaments across the country.

We meet on Thursday evenings at 7:30, at St Sebastian’s Pavilion (by the Tennis and Cricket Clubs), on Nine Mile Ride in Crowthorne. There is no commitment to come every week, nor even for the whole evening (you can come later or finish earlier). Feel free to come along and see how you like it. About us:

We are a well-established local Society (25+ years, about 135 members). We meet on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at The Bradbury Centre, Rose Street, Wokingham at 7.30 for 8.00pm. The Society has a circulation packet, and we run two auctions each year. We have a wide range of visiting speakers. The Society is affiliated to the Thames Valley Philatelic Federation, and participates in their competitions. Please address any communication to the Secretary (Patrick Reid) at the address above.

Duplicate Contract Bridge Club

About us:

A friendly bridge club that meets every Monday and Tuesday evening from 7:20pm at the Pinewood Leisure Centre in Crowthorne. The club has been established for over 30 years and currently has over 100 members. Visitors and new members are always welcome.

There is no smoking in the bridge room, but players are free to smoke and buy drinks in the adjoining bar. All the special events in our calendar are open to all our members, so please come along and support us. We have a lively Christmas party and each autumn 40-50 members of the club stay in a hotel for two nights of competive bridge and fun!
