About us:

I am an experienced musician and have studied Piano, Violin and Voice since I was 6. I offer quality music tuition to all ages. Lessons are tailored to suit each individual client with an emphasis on what they wish to achieve.

Bearing this in mind, clients are tutored to the highest level and are able to take Grade exams and pass well, many with distinction. Like many musicians I teach more than one instrument which enables me to refer to other instruments that pupils already play.

I am qualified to teach Piano, Violin, Singing and Music Theory. I also teach several instruments and national curriculum music at a local School. I offer a first free trial lesson where qualifications, CRB check and previous successful exam results can be viewed.

Would you like to play guitar, drums or sing?

Then please feel welcome to try lessons with us, in a friendly, professional air conditioned studio, with our methods of making playing instruments and singing fun.

We are based in Thatcham near Newbury in Berkshire, and have a great reputation for producing excellent results in a very short time. Some students have had TV appearances and endorsements.
There is no age limit, upper or lower, as we find if someones wants to play, they will, so if you want to try, just come along and give it a go.

We also offer the opportunities of live performances and recording.

Emma is an experienced teacher and performer. She graduated from the Royal College of Music in 1995 and has over twenty years’ teaching experience.

Emma teaches all levels, from beginners to advanced, and offers preparation for Associated Board exams. Alternatively pupils can learn for their own enjoyment and both children and adults are welcome.

Piano lessons for children

About us:

I have been giving piano lessons at my home near Maidenhead for more than twenty years. I teach children aged from six to eighteen and all standards from beginner to Grade 8.

I like to adapt my lessons to the needs of each individual learner. Some like to work for exams and enjoy the structure of an annual challenge and making their way through the grade structure. Some just want to be able to play for fun. A few hope to make music their career.

I hope I am able to adapt to a variety of different musical tastes. I have a comprehensive library of teaching material, classics and jazz.

Many of my pupils start their lessons when they are six and stay with me until they leave school. Many recommend me to their brothers and sisters and to friends.
