About us:
John Cassidy is one of the UK’s leading professional photographers with more than two decades of experience and numerous awards within the photographic industry to his credit. His photographs have been internationally published, gracing many covers and pages of newspapers and magazines worldwide.
His greatest passion is people photography, with subjects ranging from the world’s great sporting icons to directors of blue-chip corporations, and the budding media stars of the future.
Using a wide range of skills developed in his newspaper background, where efficiency and speed of reaction are the order of the day, John has an enthusiastic and professional approach to producing innovative and contemporary photographs for his clients. Through personal interaction with his subjects, he swiftly puts them at ease. His resulting portrait images are second to none.
He specialises in editorial, public relations, corporate and lifestyle photography, from images for promotional use in advertorials, websites and newsletters, to compositions that bring corporate values vividly to life.
John has created images for an extensive list of journalistic, corporate and editorial clients. Working for The Times newspaper, he has photographed many of the world’s leading sportsmen, as well as captains of industry including directors of Virgin Media (formerly NTL and Telewest), Onetel, Nestlé and the Advertising Standards Authority. He also accepts regular commissions from leading PR companies such as Splash Communications, EML, Lexis and QBO Bell Pottinger.
With a keen eye for a stunning and memorable shot, John is a master of light effects, and over the years has developed his own unique style of lighting. His artistic flair ensures that each image is beautifully crafted, and as uniquely individual as its subject. He is constantly exploring new imaging technologies, and developing new techniques.
Based in Berkshire, John is available for assignments anywhere within the UK and abroad.
