About us:

Hurst Lodge is a day and weekly boarding school in Ascot for girls aged 3 – 18 and boys aged 3 – 7. At the heart of our school is the belief that everyone has potential; we aspire to help our students realise theirs by encouraging learning for life and celebrating all achievements equally. Everyone has something to contribute and the final result is built on teamwork and co-operation.

Pupils study a rich and varied curriculum with a team of enthusiastic and professional teachers. As we are a small school our teaching groups allow individual attention, enabling pupils to maximise their potential and self-confidence.

Kindergarten and Pre Prep provide a family atmosphere, where children make the best possible start to school life. Our emphasis on Key Skills and range of activities, including IT, music, drama, dance and sport, encourage the development of a lively and creative imagination. The Junior School also offers an enriched curriculum and takes advantage of the creative arts opportunities available throughout the school.

Senior students are encouraged to become independent learners taking ownership of their studies. Girls have a Form and Personal Tutor to ensure a high level of pastoral care and guidance. We offer a breadth of academic and vocational subjects. Creative and performance arts are offered at all levels. Students are also encouraged to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh Awards.

We have a tradition of Performing Arts; the vibrant energy created within these departments give confidence throughout all areas of school life. After school, students are encouraged to join a variety of after school classes including Ballet, Modern, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre, IT, Maths, Sport and Cookery. Sport is also taught at all levels and we offer many sports clubs; we play netball, tennis, football, rounders, badminton, judo, rugby, hockey; we swim and participate in athletics.
