jmc-photography is headed up by Jamie McPhilimey, a professional photographer with over 14 years experience. He started out in the exciting arena of sports photography where he continues to do a great deal for leading national newspapers and magazines with his award winning sports photography. Sports photography has enabled him to develop his own unique style of photography in other parts of the business that is contemporary, exciting and cutting edge .

The portrait photography side of the business Jamie has been dedicated to capturing stunning photographic images of babies, children, families and even pets. He believes that the outside world is the best studio nature can offer, photography sessions can be organised almost anywhere, the aim being to capture natural images that reflect the true personality, rather than something that is staged and over posed.

Jamie’s stylish contemporary wedding photography reflects today’s lifestyle, he is known for his warm spirit and keen eye for detail. Jamie also has a number of Corporate Photography and PR clients that highly praise his innovative photo-journalistic style that is very contemporary, exciting and dynamic. He has covered a wealth corporate and PR assignments including portraits for annual reports and press releases, product images, event photography, photography for websites and brochures, reportage work place shots and editorial articles.

Jamie’s wealth of photographic skill and his creative approach to photography enables him to be flexible if the client has a strict brief he will work to the brief producing the images required at a price the client can afford. Consequently, if there is no brief – he can happily work with the client to come up with one or with his array of photojournalistic experience, he can simply go with the flow and deliver exactly what is required in a professional and friendly manner.

Jamie started out 14 years ago shooting with 35mm cameras, sports photographers were one of the first to move to digital photography. Shooting digital enables immediate, high resolution viewing of photographs and helps guarantee that the images he shoots are to the highest quality and what his clients require.
