If you have some deadline you want or need to work to, you may need a semi-intensive or even an intensive course structure. However, our advice is that you should avoid the full intensive course structure (which often means 4-6 hours’ driving every day for a week) if at all possible, by planning your course in plenty of time before your deadline.

If you can’t, well OK, go for it. But be aware: learning to drive involves a huge input of information into the brain. If that is forced to happen at a very rapid rate, it can become rather overpowering. This puts a strain on you, and it’s not easy for the instructor either!

How should I choose between ?
First of all it might be helpful for you to know what is generally meant by these terms:

Normal - This is usually around 2 hours per week, in one lesson. The course usually lasting 2-4 months.

Semi-intensive - This means around 4-8 hours per week, with a course being completed in approximately 1-2 months.

Intensive - This is around 10-24 hours per week, with a course being completed in 1-3 weeks.

Please be aware that if you intend to book the Semi-intensive or the Intensive course, we will require payment up front for the complete amount on the day of booking. A cancellation fee will be charged, this being the full amount of the course, if less than two weeks notice is not given, prior to the commencement date of the course.

Please note, you must have completed your theory test prior to booking/taking the Semi-intensive or the Intensive courses. We would suggest you have an assessment before you start the course, that way you can meet your instructor before you start.

Would you like to play guitar, drums or sing?

Think you are too young or too old?

Then please feel welcome to try lessons with us, in a friendly, professional enviroment, with our methods of making playing instruments and singing fun.

We are based in Thatcham near Newbury in Berkshire, and have a great reputation for producing excellent results in a very short time. Some students have had TV appearances and endorsments.

There is no age limit, upper or lower, as we find if someones wants to play, they will, so if you want to try, just come along and give it a go.

Remember, You Are Never Too Old to Play Or Sing!

Flare

So out goes the old purple and black logo and this is replaced with a bold new brand that combines vibrant modern colours with the emphasis on the curve in the “F” in Flare to compliment our new strap line “imagine seeing round corners”.

The need to evolve our identity and house style was identified after a company focus day in London, when the days exercise identified what the company stood for and how it wanted to communicate this to clients. The new branding, stationary and web site all help reveal the inside working of Flare and together they represent an evolution in terms of name and image.
